What is Bioclear?
Bioclear is a method of composite restoration. Tooth surface preparation, clear matrices and composite shaping allow the dentist to adjust contours and contact areas before finishing and polishing. It is not a clear aligner or a tooth whitening treatment.
Aesthetic applications
In suitable cases, it may address gaps, “black triangles” near the gumline and certain tooth shape concerns. Black triangles are spaces between teeth close to the gums. Gum and periodontal health should be assessed before restoration.
Restorative applications
Bioclear can also be used for composite restorations of certain decayed or damaged teeth. These are applications of the same method, with a different treatment goal. Suitability depends on the extent of damage, remaining tooth structure and bite, alongside alternatives such as other fillings or crowns.
